FREE vs PRO account features

Supply Chain Approval (Simvia) offers both FREE and PRO account options. Below is an overview of the differences to help you understand what functionality is available in each plan.


FREE Account

A FREE account provides access to the basic functionality of Supply Chain Approval. It allows you to manage organisations and interact within the platform, but advanced document review and sharing features are not included.

What you can do with a FREE account:

  • Use basic Supply Chain Approval functionality
  • Manage organisations within the platform
  • View your supplier overview

However, the following features are not available in the FREE version:

  • Upgrading suppliers to PRO
  • Accessing public documents shared by suppliers
  • Reviewing supplier documents (Accept/Reject)
  • Automatically storing approved documents in a central Supplier Documents overview

PRO Trial Account

With a FREE Simvia account, you can temporarily upgrade up to 10 organisations to PRO Trial to explore advanced features before committing to a full upgrade.

Requirements for starting a PRO Trial:

  • You must have at least three organisations in your account
  • Those three organisations must each have a recognised identifier added (such as GGN, COID, QS ID, BRC Site Code, etc.)

It does not matter whether these organisations are already active Simvia users.

Once these conditions are met, the PRO Trial option becomes available automatically.

After upgrading, PRO Trial organisations are clearly marked with a PRO label in your overview.


What PRO (Trial) Enables

Upgrading a supplier to PRO unlocks additional functionality:

1. Access to Public Documents

PRO suppliers can share public documents with you. These may include:

  • Quality documentation
  • Compliance certificates
  • Other relevant supplier information

To access public documents:

  1. Click on the organisation’s name
  2. Navigate to Documents
  3. Open Public documents

2. Reviewing Supplier Documents

When a supplier submits a document for review, you can:

  1. Click the Review button
  2. Open and check the document details (type, expiry date, etc.)
  3. Choose Accept or Reject

If you accept the document:

  • It is automatically added to your Supplier Documents page
  • All approved supplier documentation is stored in one central location

This allows for improved oversight and structured compliance management.
