Understanding Lab Analyses
This article explains how to work with lab analyses in Simvia, including reviewing results, analysing data, and applying compliance checks.
Reviewing new lab analyses
When new analysis results are available, they appear on the Lab analyses overview page.
At the top of the page, you can see how many new supplier reports require review. These are typically received automatically from connected laboratories.
To review an analysis:
- Open the report from the overview
- Review the analysis details
- Download the lab report if needed
- Choose to:
- Complete the details, or
- Reject and continue
This step ensures that only accurate and relevant data is used in your system.
Insights
The Insights section allows you to analyse lab data and turn results into visual, actionable insights.
Creating graphs
You can create graphs based on:
- Product
- Compliance level
- Country
- Producer
For example, you can visualise which lab results for a specific product comply with EU MRL regulations. You can also group results by country and drill down to see individual producers.
Compliance checks
You can define rules to automatically assess whether lab results meet your standards.
Examples include:
- Compliance with EU MRL limits
- Compliance with UK standards
- Custom internal thresholds
This allows you to align lab analysis evaluations with your quality and risk policies.
Sample groups
Sample groups help you filter and refine your analysis.
You can group results based on:
- Sample data
- Analysis types
- Batch numbers
- Other sample attributes
This makes it easier to focus on specific products, suppliers, or risk areas.
