Understanding Products
The Products page allows you to configure how products are managed and used within your supply chain. Products can be connected to suppliers, used in requirement rules, and configured with additional information such as tags, seasonality, and supplier-specific identifiers.
By structuring products in the platform, you can manage compliance at a product level instead of only at supplier level.
Adding Products
Products can be added individually or imported in bulk.
Adding a Product
To add a product:

Go to Products
-
Click Add product
-
Select a product from the suggested list or create a flexible product

Add optional details such as tags or identifiers

Click Save
Flexible products behave the same as predefined products and can be used in requirement rules and supplier connections.
Bulk Uploading Products
Bulk upload allows you to add multiple products at once.
To upload products in bulk:

Click Add in bulk

Download the Excel template
-
Fill in the required product data
-
Upload the completed file
If the file contains errors, the platform highlights the affected fields and explains what needs to be corrected.
Assigning Products to Suppliers
Once products are created, they can be linked to the suppliers that provide them.
Products can be connected in two ways.
From the Products Page

Open the product
-
Click Add organisations
-
Select the suppliers
From the Organisation Page

Open the organisation
-
Go to the Products tab
-
Edit the supplied products
Both methods link the product to the supplier in your supply chain.
Product Configuration Options
Products can be configured with additional information that helps structure requests and compliance monitoring.
Product Tags
Tags allow you to group products based on shared characteristics.
Examples:

Organic
-
Packaging
-
Fresh produce
Tags can then be used in requirement rules to apply document requests to groups of products instead of configuring rules for each product individually.
Product Seasonality
Seasonality allows you to define when a product is in season per country.
To configure seasonality:

Open the product
-
Navigate to Seasonality
-
Define the active season for each country
When seasonality is set:

Product-specific document requests are sent only during the active season

Requests are not triggered outside the defined season
Supplier Product Identifiers
Suppliers may use different product names or internal codes.
You can store these as supplier-specific product identifiers.
To add them:

Open the product
-
Select the supplier
-
Click Edit supplier product identifiers

Enter the supplier’s product name or ID
These identifiers appear in document requests sent to suppliers, helping them clearly identify the requested product.
Using Products in Requirement Rules
Products can be used as a condition in requirement rules.
This allows you to:

Request documents only for specific products

Apply requirements to groups of products using tags
-
Trigger requests only during the product’s active season
This approach helps reduce unnecessary requests while improving compliance accuracy.
When to Use Products
Products are particularly useful when:
